Irish Sea Contractors is pleased to announce the successful completion of an anode installation campaign at Dublin Port, carried out across three of the Port’s main berths.
In total, 1,076 new anodes were supplied, designed, and installed by ISC’s specialist team, ensuring a robust 20-year protection lifecycle for these critical marine structures. The project also involved the safe removal of existing anodes before replacement.
Efficient Delivery, Outstanding Results
Our divers deployed an efficient installation methodology that not only ensured accuracy and safety but also achieved higher-than-expected installation rates, allowing the campaign to be completed ahead of schedule. This efficiency minimised disruption to port operations while maximising long-term protection of the berths.
ISC’s Role
As the appointed contractor, ISC took full responsibility for:
Supply of anodes
Design and engineering of the installation plan
Diving operations for installation
Removal of existing anodes
Protecting Port Infrastructure for the Future
This project reinforces ISC’s capability in delivering large-scale marine protection works and highlights our commitment to extending the lifespan of vital port infrastructure. With the installation of these new anodes, Dublin Port’s berths are protected, ensuring safe and sustainable operations into the future.
